How do I find and mine for pure commodities?

If you wish to attempt to mine for pure commodities you must first locate a body that has the commodities present. To do this, open the cargo window and open the search section. At the top of this window will be a search facility that has a dropdown to select a commodity from. Selecting the name of the commodity you are after will populate the search results. The results will list all nearby bodies that have the commodity present and pressing the "engage" button will start travel to the relevant system.

Once you arrive you can begin mining the required commodity, there is a small chance while mining that you will also recover a pure version of the commodity which will be added to your hold as a consumable. For example, if you are mining Iron, then you may collect Pure Iron which is added to your hold.
