How to complete a distress signal mission?

To complete the Distress Signal mission you must travel to the local area noted in the mission manifest and then search this local area in an effort to locate the distress signal.

To do this you must use the sublight options in helm to travel in increments around the area (0.1 LYs is the smallest increment) with the strength of the signal being reported in your log if you are in range of the signal. Your log is access via the comms window which is the speech bubble icon at the bottom right of the screen.
