How to complete the Thief mission?

To complete the Thief mission you must travel to the system noted in the mission manifest and then search this local area in an effort to locate the thief.

To do this you must use the sublight options in helm to travel in increments around the area (0.1 LYs is the smallest increment) until you locate the Outlander NPC ship. Once located, your should engage the ship in combat.
