What is ammo used for?

Ammo consumables can be used by members of the Warmongers guild. When fitted to ports the ammo is consumed in combat and different ammo types will either improve the stats of the weapon or change the weapon perk.

Once the ammo is consumed, the port will revert back to normal running even mid combat.
