How do I obtain Pure Iron

Pure Iron is a consumable, created by refining the iron commodity or found in its natural form.

To obtain Pure Iron there are a few different methods. Firstly, if you mine the iron commodity there is a chance you will also obtain Pure Iron. Ships like the Barge have a perk which makes this more likely.

Secondly, consumables are often sold by factions. You can find systems selling consumables by searching for the Trading Consumables service. You can also use the search section in the cargo window to filter for purchasable consumables and type Pure Iron.

You may also be able to find Pure Iron adrift or as part of mission rewards.
