How do I free a slave?

To free a slave from an escape pod, find the escape pod in your hold and click the title to enter its details.

Once the new window loads, you will find the option to free the slave. Doing so will add the slave to your crew.

You can rehabilitate a slave by fitting rooms to your ship that aid in rehabilitation. The slave will use these rooms and once the slave is ready, they will convert to a different crew type.
