How can I increase the hold capacity of my ship?

Every ship has a maximum hold capacity measured in Megagrams abbreviated to Mgs. Every piece of cargo also has a mass also measured in Mgs. If you are finding you are running out of space you can either purchase a larger ship or fit hold extenders.
