What can I use bays for?

Bays can be used to stow ships you own to take them with you. If you are in command of a ship that has bays and own ships that support ship docking, you can stow them in bay. To do this, visit the system the ship is parked and open the command window. In the command window a section for parked ships is presented and using the contextual options for a ship, you can choose to stow the ship.

If you have hired pilot crew members these crew members will automatically pilot stowed ships in combat to support you.
