How do I switch ships?

To switch into a different ship you own, travel to the same location as the parked ship. Any new ship you purchase will be parked at the same location by default.

From the command window enter the parked ships section and find the ship you wish to switch to. Using the contextual menu selecting command will put you in command of that ship, placing your current ship in a parked state.

How do I level my skill?

All skills can be individually levelled to a maximum level of 100, meaning the skill is 100% effective. The skill description will detail how the skill can be levelled, you can see this description by clicking the skill name in the me window (the window with your portrait). What to do first?

The Shuttle you start in is a bad ship, it has a low FTL range and will not survive long in combat. You should aim to purchase a new ship as soon as possible and to do this, you will require credits. The ship to aim for is the Battlecruiser, it is civilian design and has no skill requirement. How do I play a card in combat?

Click a card once to mark it for play, click it a second time to mark it for discard and a third time to clear the selection. Once the turn timer reaches zero any cards marked for play will be played, any cards marked for discard will be discarded with the rest remaining in your hand.

Mining speed can be improved any various different ways, which increase the yield of commodities you recover each minute. If you wish to attempt to mine for pure commodities you must first locate a body that has the commodities present. To do this, open the cargo window and open the search section. At the top of this window will be a search facility that has a dropdown to select a commodity from. Selecting the name of the commodity you are after will populate the search results. Mining is the act of collecting commodities and sometimes consumables from a body, such as a planet. Mining is done from your ship where you will mine commodities from the body storing them in the hold of your ship.

Similarly to selling, first find a system with the trading commodities service. Once in such as system, open the services window and choose the trading commodities service from the top. Once loaded you can browse the commodities to buy pressing the buy button to procure them.

How do I sell commodities?

First, find a system with the trading commodities services. Once in that system visit your hold from the cargo window and find the commodities you wish to sell. Using the contextual menu you can choose to sell commodities.

How do I find a system that offers a specific services?

To find systems with a specific service, open the helm window and scroll to the services section. Next select the service you require from the dropdown. After selecting, resulting systems that have the service will be listed. Pressing engage next to any system will start travel to that system. ...read more

How do you travel through a stable wormhole?

Within the helm window is a wormholes section which will list all stable wormholes present and where they lead to. Use the Engage button next to a wormhole to use it.

How can I improve sublight speed of my ship?

Every ship has a defined sublight speed measured in light years per minute, abbreviated to LY/m. This is how many light years the ship can travel in a minute in real-time. A sublight speed of 0.5 LY/m means a ship can travel one whole light year every two minutes, for instance.
